I am working with a US based Fortune 500 manufacturer that have been in business for over 100 years and have become one of the largest diversified manufacturing companies of industrial equipment and consumables globally. Currently I am running a search for a Operations Director to be based our of their South Eastern Melbourne office which is their Regional HQ.
The role of Operations Director is to manage all operational elements of the shed to customer side of the business across approximately 6500 SKU’s, 3 warehouses within Australia, and approximately 100-130 staff under their total remit including casual employees.
The focusses of the appointment are predominately around cost management, safety, productivity and the utilisation of data in key decision making. People leadership is also a huge focus as my client are looking for a collaborative and humble leader to take their people on a journey and ensure good continuity across their business unit.
For this role I am looking for someone who is likely to have worked within fast paced, high SKU volume environments. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of, and experience in, delivering on the key metrics for senior operations leaders (Safety, DIFOT, Talent Management and Cost Management) and be highly proficient with systems and as mentioned above, the data extrapolated from these.
